CEMETERY REGULATIONS
1. Only members of the Catholic Church, who are not
debarred by the laws of the Church, may be buried in consecrated ground.
A separate parcel of unblessed ground is reserved for the burial of
non-Catholic members of the family for unbaptized children of Catholic
parents, or for such Catholics who after having publicly neglected their
religious duties, received the last Sacraments only at the hour of
death. But suicides - except in cases of insanity - apostates, infidels or public sinners or those dying without signs of
repentance will not be buried within the gates of St. Peters Cemetery.
2. A certificate for a lot does not grant any
privileges beyond those specified therein. If one year after the
purchase of a lot the money is not paid in full, such a lot will fall
back and be subject to the free disposal of the Secretary of the
graveyard.
3. At the old cemetery the lots are 16 x 16 feet and
prices run from six to eight dollars, according to location. The charges
for single graves are five dollars for adults and two dollars and fifty
cents for children. The rules for the new cemetery are at the
disposition of The Manager.
4. The charges for single graves of persons who have
no sitting in the church, unless they be paupers are five dollars for
each grave.
5. The charges for digging the graves are: In the
Winter season $7.00 for adults and $4.00 for children, in Summer $6.00
for adults and $3.00 for children for each grave. The Winter Season is
from December 1st to April 1st. The rules for the new cemetery are at
the disposition of the Manager.
6. All labor performed in the cemetery must be done
by or through the sexton. The owner of a lot is not allowed to dig a
grave himself or order the same to be dug by any other than the cemetery
sexton.
7. If the owner of a lot desires to have persons
buried in it who are not of the family,
the same charges must be paid as for a single grave. The family of the
lot holder mentioned in the certificate comprises only the members of
the household, who depend upon the one common support.
8. Graves shall be dug according to the sanitation
rules of the State. viz. : For persons over seven years of age, five
feet deep; for persons under seven years of age, at least four feet
deep.
9. Burial permit issued by the health officer mist be
shown to the Rector and given to the gravedigger.
10. Any matter not covered by these rules is left to
the decision of the Rector of St. Peter's
Congregation. or to the Bishop of the Diocese of Green Bay.
