Return to Polish Heritage     Return to main Archives Page

These notes have been used as a basis for lectures and class discussions in the course, History 342, “Polish Immigration to the United States”.

The course was introduced by the Department of History at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on an experimental basis. It was first offered in the fall of 1975 and again in 1976, sponsored by the Dean of Experimental Courses.

The course included regular and auditing students. It was based on lectures, collateral readings, book reports and oral history interviews taped by students. Two major exams and a final were required.

These notes have been published through the assistance of Dr. Burdette W. Eagon, Dean of Academic Support Programs, and his office.
