The Township of Dewey would be created in 1898 out of the portion of Eau Pleine Township located east of the Wisconsin River and the northern part of the Township of Hull.
The Township of Stevens Point is represented here also. Within a few years the city would expand and most of the original Stevens Point Township would be added to the surrounding townships.
