Hie Corner 'One Room' School House Program
Our Hie Corner "One Room" School House program has been extremely successful! All the 4th grade students from the Stevens Point Area School District as well as students from parochial schools, Wisconsin Rapids School District, Amherst School district and others attend a half day program at our Hie Corner School.

Judy Lyons (Pine & Iron Award winner in 2011) and Shirley Multhauf, both retired teachers, began, organized and taught the curriculum for many years. Their curriculum is still in use. Many retired teachers now help by teaching classes. Each year approximately 30, 4th grade classes from the Stevens Point Area School District, area parochial schools, as well as other nearby school districts attend a half day class. Each year between 600 & 1,000 students pass through our one room school house!
In 2011 Mary Beth Anday took over the task of organizing and scheduling the teachers as well as arranging transportation of students.
