What do modern day re-enactors of 1840's life eat for Sunday breakfast?

Sausage, Eggs, and rolls
Brenda puts husband Arv, a blacksmith, on a diet.
While Brenda makes pancakes with blackberries for herself!

Actually, in top picture Brenda is testing the griddle for proper temperature.

Brenda runs the Pioneer Days Rendezvous in Adams-Friendship the weekend before PPR.

The Saturday Dutch Oven Cook-off was won by Cindy Kramer's roast duck and squirrel. The camp cooking "nut" was by far Karl Kaphengst. He entered cherry pie and the Ramstacks contributed fresh made ice cream as a topping.

But Chef Karl wasn't done yet! Later that evening he served up deep fried fish, chicken breasts and rice, glazed baby carrots, and potatoes.

Other campsites had t-bone steaks and chicken. Rough'n it ain't that bad!

P.S. Jerry Rohlinger, Chair of Special Events Committee and self proclaimed camp taste tester,  had hot dogs at home late Saturday evening. (Next year I'm setting up my Weber grill and making roast turkey for myself!!!)
