Volunteer for PCHS
PCHS would not exist without the generous donation of time and talents from our passionate volunteers. Volunteers are integral to our mission of preserving and presenting the history of Portage County to the community. Our current volunteer opportunities are presented below. Please check back for emerging opportunities!

-
Music Exhibit Host - We are thrilled to be welcoming visitors to our newest exhibit: "Rhythms of the River: The History of Music in Portage County." We are seeking friendly volunteers to sit in the exhibit during our Heritage Park Summer Open Hours: Fridays 1-5pm and Saturdays 10am-2pm. Volunteers will welcome guests, accept tickets, and sell tickets at the door. Shifts are two hours, so you have the option of signing up for the full 4 open hours (2 shifts) or just 1/2 (1 shift). PCHS Poster Brigade - We are assembling an enthusiastic and dedicated Poster Brigade team to help us publicize our special programs and events throughout Portage County. Each volunteer will place printed flyers or brochures within a specific geographical area. Areas include Downtown Stevens Point, Stevens Point - North Division, Stevens Point - Church Street, Plover - Post Road, Plover - County Highway B, Amherst, Rosholt, Waupaca, Wisconsin Rapids, Wausau, and Marshfield. You may select the area which is most convenient for you, on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note this will be an ongoing commitment, perhaps 6-7 times/year. If you are interested in helping us get the word out, please click here to learn more and select your preferred geographical area.
